The Spitzer telescope examined protostars in the constellation NGC 2264

The NASA has a lot of unique photos in its storerooms. it's nice that sometimes something interesting from this warehouse of important and necessary information gets into the network. Just recently, NASA published the latest photos from the SPITZER telescope. The most interesting image probably contains a stellar nursery, in the NGC 2264 nebula. Young stars sparkle in the photo in the Central area of the image. There are these stellar nurseries with bright stars in NGC 2264 Ч a scattered star cluster associated with the nebula, located in the constellation of Unicorn. The object is approximately 2,600 light-years away .
This star cluster from a great distance seems like a complex snowflake and probably for this reason NGC 2264 is also called by astronomers - the Snowflake Cluster. The scattered star cluster NGC 2264 also includes the Fox Fur nebula. Nearby in the same constellation is the brightest and most massive variable star 15 Unicorn, which is still the brightest star known in the Christmas tree cluster, in the NGC 2264 segment.
In a dense dust nebula, it is difficult to see even the brightest stars at such a distance in the optical spectrum, but thanks to the Spitzer telescope, which sees the entire area in the infrared spectrum, everything is visible at a glance. A thick layer of dust does not prevent you from seeing everything bright and hot in this part of the Unicorn constellation.
All the stars in the frame are young, all at the initial stage of their development. According to preliminary estimates, the stars are about 100 thousand years old. The stars have not yet dispersed the gas nebula around them, and they still seem to live in a stellar nursery. After millions of years, everything will clearly change and everything will be different, the natural drift of the stars will change everything beyond recognition.
In the cluster, the Christmas tree is so named only because the bright stars of the constellation form the shape of the Christmas tree, something similar to a triangle. These stars themselves are not visible in the photo from the Spitzer telescope, so they took photos, but in General it probably does not matter, because the lens is a small segment of this large star system.
Somewhere below and to the left of the image is another attraction, the Cone nebula, it also did not appear in the photo, but somewhere in far space is present in The unicorn cluster.

The money was allocated as part of a Small NASA research program. It was developed by specialists from the laboratory at the Massachusetts Institute of technology. As a result of the successful launch, the satellite reached the desired orbital altitude on April 18, 2018. Using such a powerful telescope in their research, astronomers discovered a warm and very large planet. The planet is located very far from the EARTH, it revolves around the star TOI-677, the star is very hot and brig...
